Seeking Advice

Hello,

I am seeking some advice on behalf of a friend.

Unfortunately back in 2008, she was emotionally blackmailed and threatened by an ex partner who was from Cameroon to become a signatory on his visa application, which I believe was Indefinite Leave to Remain based on them remaining together as a couple indefinitely. The relationship in her mind was already over and when she told him that she wouldnt do it he became violent and threatening. If she were to tell home office now about what happened do you think she could be in trouble even though this was many years ago? It is playing on her mind and is looking for some advice.
