Hi,

I have made the online application for 3 dependent on 13 DEC 2018 and submitted biometric on 21 DEC 2018 through new service of Sopra Steria in Glasgow as Standard service. As of now I have not received any acknowledgment email after biometric or any update from them.

Please let me know is that normal. I mean do they always sent acknowledgment or not.

Hi Neilin,

We've had the same experience - though we sent our biometrics from the Croydon centre.

No receipt of delivery.

Hi,

I am also in the same situation, applied online last month and completed biometric last week in Croyden, as standard service, no acknowledgement email , nothing as of now.

I called the help line and they informed that HO does not send acknowledge email for everyone, i dont know why they sending for few and for some its not.

Did anyone received any letter through post, or any decision yet. I applied for tier 2 extension.

When you called the home office did they refer your case and replied. If yes, What's the reference you have used. Or they just given the standard reply.

I remember last time when I had extension in 2017 within uk through my company solicitor using postal service, home office have sent the acknowledgment letter and further guidance for appearing biometric

Bit confused is the acknowledgment by sopra steria only for non standard service or selective in nature

It’s standard default reply they have given. There is no case ref numb.

If they dont send acknowledgement or any information that they have received my application, how to find out the process, there is no case id number. at least in old service, they use to deduct money from account and send letter for biometrics, going to post office is very easy and simple. now they have made more complicated, after all these things no clue about application process.

can anyone tell is that 8 weeks processing time for standard service for tier 2 extension, is from the date of online application or from the date of submitted my biometrics?

has anyone got BRP in less than 8 weeks in standard process - new service?

Reg timelines I think 6-8 weeks from the date of biometric. So from biometric date currently I am running on 4th week. I understand that there was a December holidays.

If any member who has got the brp by opting standard service with new System can share the experience and would be much helpful to those who are waiting

@Neilin. when is your current visa validity. how long you have for your ILR? my visa valid till end of Feb 2019.

Hi Ariff21,
My current visa is ICt until July 2019 but I am worried since I have resigned from company and moved out. So it can get cancelled anytime.
Now completely relying in T2G dependent visa decision.

At this stage i am not thinking about ILR.

They just don't and you can't find out the process and need to wait for 8 weeks from the date of submitting your biometrics. If you ring the Home Office they will tell you not to ring them within 8 weeks timeframe. I got my BRP in around week 6 or 7 I think

You do have reference number from your biometrics enrolment letter.

I am assuming you have opted Sopra Steria standard service and you don't need to follow up with your application without any acknowledgment and update also.
You got the BRP within 7 weeks

Hello,

I'm in the same boat. Applied for Tier 2 General visa extension under new system Sopra Standard Service (upto 8 weeks).

Biometric done on 06/12/2018 and have not heard back anything since then. Completed 6 weeks today from Biometric.

Lets hope for the best.

on 7th week now and no updates as yet.

Started getting a bit worried after reading yesterday in some other thread that HO missed/did not receive some of the documents scanned through Sopra although they were scanned and sent. So decision was given without taking those documents in consideration.

Hope our cases get approved smoothly and quickly.
