Ex Birth Certificate requiref

Post by Lola1010 » Wed Jan 02, 2019 1:10 pm

Hi. My Turkish husband is completing the FLR (M) application. He has been in London since June 2016, his permit expires on 19/02/2019. I (his British born wife) have a child from a previous relationship. The application asks that we submit my ex's birth certificate and utility bills! we cannot proceed with the application until we tick the mandatory box confirming this. I do not have any contact with my ex and we are not on speaking terms. Can you help with this please? Thank you.

FLR (M) help please

Post by Lola1010 » Wed Jan 02, 2019 3:03 pm

Hi
Please could someone help. My Turkish husband came to the UK in June 2016. We will apply for his extension shortly. (not sure on exact date) His biometric card runs out on 19th Feb 2019 but we have another document which states his visa is valid to 24th Feb 2019. What do we go by?
Second question,
On the mandatory tick list it asks for my ex's birth certificate as we have a child together. This would be impossible for me to get as we no longer communicate. Do I write a covering letter explaining this??
Thanks for any help.

Hello

I had the same thing when i did my wifes visa i was never married before but have 2 kids with someone else they asked for my ex girlfriends Birth cert bills and letters from her saying what contact my wife has with the kids.
She refused to do any of this so i applied online for her birth cert here https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/cert ... efault.asp i also had to apply for my kids that live with here at the same time.
I then put a cover letter with her full details saying she refused to supply any letters or bills.

At the appointment i was told it was fine as the cover letter explained the issue and they know there can be issues with EX's

Hi and thank you for your reply. I have since learned that a cover letter should be ok. Fingers crossed.

WHEN TO APPLY FOR FLR M

Post by Lola1010 » Sat Jan 19, 2019 6:22 pm

Hi all
Please could you advise me on the date which my husband can apply for extension to stay after completing his first entry clearance. He came to London on 16th June 2016, his first visa. His BRP card states it is valid intil 19th february 2019. We have all documents needed ready to submit. 28 days prior to 19 Feb is 23rd January 2019. Is this when we can apply?
It's all very confusing! im reading he can apply after 30 months but not before 28 days.

On another note, do we need to submit passport photos and photo copies of all documents? Does the FLR M application form inform you of this once you have made payment?
Thank you in advance for any information/advice

You can apply 28 days before reaching 30 months residence, counted from date of entry to the UK. So he could have applied in December already and avoided the increase of the IHS fees, which he will now have to pay.

Thank you for your reply.

Sorry, one more question! We part completed the FLR M Form up to the point of payment, once payment is made will we be informed of any extra documents needed that wasn't already stated on the mandatory tick list, for example passport photos, photo copies of all documents we are sending. I have a slight idea gathering info from this site, but still so confusing.

Thanks for your advice.

Sorry, also we started the application in early December, have since seen an updated version from 13 December, will we need to start all over again with the updated version or is it just the fees thst has changed?
Thanks again

If you are applying using the new UKCVAS system and appointment, no photos needed or photocopies. If you apply by post, I understand you need to send photos but not photocopies of documents.

You need to use the most recent online form as far as I understand as the update (if there is one) was more than 21 days ago. There has been NO increase in visa fees.

Assuming you are using the online form and not a paper form, your post isn't clear on this.

Hi, thanks again for your quick response.

We began the online application early December, as you can save the application for later, up to 10 weeks I believe. So ive just been going into the saved application and amended where appropriate. I've since seen an updated version on Gov website dated 13 December. Will the application I've part completed be automatically updated to the new one? Do I need to start all over again?

Thank you

One would presume so. I have no experience or sight of the online forms so cannot comment.

I have similar issue when I did my application , for some reason it said provide birth certificate for both parents, really it should be the child's birth certificate they are looking for, I never provided parents birth certification and it was fine my visa was approved , instead i wrote a little.note next to the check list box asking for the birth certificate that I have provided the child's birth certificate.
