Confused on FLR (M) post 30 months extention online question

Post by swrajit » Mon Feb 11, 2019 7:55 pm

Dear experienced memebers,

I am applying for my wife's next 30 months extention on FLR(M) family visa application. She had fer first 30 months and which is due to expire on the 22nd Feb 2019. There is a section which is asking for the following options:
Reason for extension
Please choose the reason you are applying for an extension, this includes if you are switching to a partner visa from another type.
(Required)

First extension as a partner (following an initial period of entry as a partner, or as a fiancé(e) or proposed civil partner of a settled person)

Additional extension as a partner

First application as a partner from within the UK (for example, you are currently in the UK on another type of visa or permission to stay)

You delayed your travel to the UK by more than 3 months after the issue of a visa and have not yet completed the required amount of time on a partner visa (not including as a fiancé(e) or proposed civil partner)

You require more time to meet the Knowledge of Language and Life in the UK requirements to apply for settlement

You were granted entry as a fiancé(e) or proposed civil partner, but have not yet married or entered into a civil partnership

You are applying for any other reason

** I need 30 months on the five year route** which one do i select. **

Kind regards,
Swrajit

Thank you for your response.
Sorry I will elaborate a bit more :

When I became british citizen on a 10 year route , I changed my wife's application on FLR(M) 30 months. She was on tier 2 depended previously.

Now it's coming to an end on the 22nf February 2019.

Anyone, any answer.

Hi There,

Did you change her Tier 2 Dependent to FLR M within UK while ago?

You have to tick Option 1 :
First extension as a partner (following an initial period of entry as a partner, or as a fiancé(e) or proposed civil partner of a settled person)

We had the same situation and we just successfully received our visa on 05/02/2019. thanks

Yes I did change from Tier 2 dependent to my wife's FLR (M) where she got her 1st extension towards 5 year.

Kind regards,
