Sending multiple naturalisation applications

Post by masterboy123 » Tue Feb 12, 2019 10:15 pm

Me and my wife are applying for naturalisation and we are wondering if we can send our applications together in big envelope, with 2 separate envelopes inside?

I don’t think anyone has the gut of trying this. You’ve already spent 350 Euro for two application fees, why trying to save a tenner at the risk of being refused or getting missed?

My wife and I sent our applications in one envelope. Our passports were returned along with receipts for our application fees within 4 days of the INIS having received our application bundle. My wife and I are both employed professionals and, although there is no specific policy on this, I believe we strengthen each other’s applications for citizenship—even if only unofficially. Our applications were both processed by the same person from processing team 3 and our application numbers are sequential. One of the issues that we automatically overcame by submitting our applications together is that they immediately understood that all our utilities were only in my name instead of my wife’s.

I recommend the following:
1. Have separate folders or envelops for each application.
2. Include a cover letter in each folder/envelope detailing their contents.
3. Place both of the folders/envelopes in a larger envelope and include another cover letter explaining that there are two applications included.
4. Mail the larger envelope via registered post.

I have submitted the applications in a big envolope, which contains a cover letter and 2 separate smaller envelopes. Fingers crossed :)
