Switching from Tier 2(,general) to Tier 4

Post by Kiike » Fri Feb 22, 2019 11:09 am

Hi all
Im now tier2 (general) holder
I'm bit confused about switching from tier2 to tier 4
as i have to switch to tier4 soon . Our employer has told us due to company loss profit.
I have been here for 9 yrs.
First 5 years on tier4.(3years BA Business studies and 2 years ACCA)
Then got tier2 . Now finishing 4 years on tier2.
My question is am i eligible to switch tier4 from tier2.?
If so,am i eligible to apply for MBA?
If so am i eligible to apply for ILR in 10yr route?
(Im reaching my 10yr in this Sep)
Thanks in advance

You need to check this with your prospective Tier 4 sponsor.

What is your concern for the Tier 4 application exactly?

What aspect of the Tier 4 rules or eligibility are you thinking that might affect? I don't understand.

In blunt terms you want to use a Tier 4 application / visa to bridge the gap to 10 year ILR....

I doubt any of the universities will remotely consider issuing you a Tier 4 CAS because it is fairly obvious what you are trying to do. So your stating point to seek PhD entry seems pretty bleak.

Why not get another Tier 2/Sponsor rather than trying a fairly nonsensical Tier 4?
