ILR only. PR cards under EU law is for life (unless you are absent from the UK for more than 2 years).

Okay thanks. :)
on the gov website they only say BRP card thats why confusion comes up. The website should be clear about the PR procedure.

BRPs are only issued for any Leave to Remain under the UK Immigration Rules.

Documentation under the EEA Regulations is either a DCPR issued to EEA citizens (which is non-biometric anyway) or a Permanent Residence Card (biometric cards issued to non-EEA citizens who qualify under the EEA Regulations).

a Permanent Residence Card is a biometric cards thats why it is confusion weather this need to send or not.

PR is NOT lost on acquisition of citizenship as it is attained automatically under the EU regulations.

ILR which is APPLIED for under the UK immigration rules, ceases to exist once acquisition of British citizenship occurs, therefore an ILR BRP is no longer valid or is void/superseded by Citizenship.

Be aware that the customer enquiries for UKV&I is outsourced and that you will likely get different responses to the same question if you call them more than once.

Perhaps complain to the OISC about the Home Office’s poor Immigration advice?
