Naturalization/ British Citizenship

Post by chbabar87 » Mon Mar 11, 2019 9:43 pm

Hi All;
firstly I would like to thank you in advance.
I was granted Permanent residence in Aug 2018 after living with my EU wife for 6 years together; however the letter came with my card was saying I will be eligible to apply for British Nationality after 6th April 2019. Unfortunately I was accused of Assault to my wife and I was proven guilty, and was sentenced to fine £700, and 100 hours unpaid work. We are getting divorce now.
My question is can I still apply for British nationality on 6th April 2019? or my criminal record will affect my case now?
Please do not judge me on this, please advise I will be really thankful to you.
