Sorting documents for spouse visa. Any one help!

Can anyone help.
Do I have to get my sponsor's passport copies attested before sending it with my spouse visa file to Sheffield? Is there any rule for that?

As per member experience the British passport doesn't need any attestation. Non-British passport must be sent in original.
