Stamp 4 INIS - Spouse of Irish National

Post by Waitingonstamp4 » Fri Mar 22, 2019 12:08 pm

Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone out there had been in touch with SOIN department about what month of applications they are currently processing?

My husband and I sent our application for spouse of an Irish National to get his Stamp 4 back in July 2018.

This wait is getting really tough so any insight to how close we are to getting our letter would help a great deal.

Thanks.

Just bumping up my thread.

17 months?
Well that's pretty upsetting.

Hey everyone,

I am considering getting a solicitor involved in my application.

Did anyone who is in the same situation as me find that it sped along the process at all?

Thanks

Have you tried contacting your local TD for an official update from INIS?

Hi,

We haven’t tried doing that yet - I was going to wait until it was 12 months (we are currently waiting 9) before trying that.

Has contacting a TD had much success for others in speeding up their application at all?

My wife was just chatting with a woman (US National) that applied for and received her Stamp 4 in less than 3 months. Showed marriage license, proof and source of income, had private medical insurance, PPSN and Proof of Address when she applied.
It may be just a matter of having the proper documents. As with any bureaucracy, mileage varies. I certainly hope my Stamp 4 does not take 18 months!
Good Luck !!!

Hi,

We were able to provide all that information so hopefully it doesn’t take much longer.

When did you apply?
