Surrender Certificate

Hi
I have recently surrendered my daughter's Indian passport after acquiring British Passport (by descent). Surprisingly they have issued me 'Renunciation Acknowledgement' and sent me cancelled Indian Passport, I was actually expecting surrender certificate.

What is the difference between Surrender Certificate and Renunciation Acknowledgement Letter.

Is it okay, if i can apply OCI with this?

What supporting documents did you provide for the surrender certificate?

I am assuming since your daughter has british citizenship by descent you didn't have a naturalisation certificate for her?

I am in a similar situation and applying for a surrender certificate - so wanted to know.
