Preparing my application for ILR from Tier 1

Post by bizman » Mon May 13, 2019 7:14 pm

Hello respected members and gurus

I am now planning to apply for my ILR in June. I have few questions

1, I am applying for my ILR first and intend to apply for family later. What docs will be used to support dependent application when I apply for them.

I think for wife
English test certificate
LIUK
Proof of common residency/ cohabitation
Marriage certificate
Council tax bill, statement of account, utility bill etc

Children
All above and their birth certificate

2 Job description for director seems compulsory now from policy guidelines, how is this done. Thanks

If you are applying alone in June, you dont need to send any documents for dependents at that time. Make sure your dependents have valid visa and they must apply anytime before the visa expiry regardless of your decision successful or pending.

You will need cohabitation documents for your wife. 6 documents spread evenly across the last 2 years.

If any of your children is 16 or over only then they need some extra docs.

If any children 18 plus you have to prove they are not leading an independent life at the time of application.

You can only use standard service for yourself. However, given, your application is successful and then your dependents apply (given they have valid leave to remain), they can opt for super priority 24 hours service at £610 each additional cost.

2) Add an A4 sheet and simply add the director role/description and employee job description as pointers.

1) Cohabitation docs: 6 documents/6 sources of documents like council tax bill, joint bank accounts, electricity bill etc evenly spread for the last 2 years.

2) The consent form has 3 parts. You have to sign only the parts relevant to you.
Part 1 is for the applicant
Part 2 if you are relying on any joint accounts so joint account holder will sign.
Part 3 If you are financially dependent on someone and relying on their docs.

I also want to ask gurus, they ask from the application, if there was any visa refusal, deportation, etc from UK, my sons visa was initially refused but later granted after proving his paternity with a DNA test. Should this be mentioned as refusal, but it was eventually granted.

It was initially erroneously refused because of suspicion he might not be my son, he didn’t apply the same time the whole family applied. He was born premature and was not strong enough for the rigour of going for visa processes.

It really does not matter tbh as personal bank statements are not required. But yes, I had a healthy sum. 10k is good sum.

Thanks Tier11417, I’m applying end of the month of June. Everything is ready, just some business engagement that is taking me out of the country for few days mid June.
