good character policy for citizenship applications on Asylum Seeker family

Post by khalidhaku » Tue Jul 09, 2019 10:11 am

Dear respected friends,

I need some advice on subject topic:-

1. Person arrived UK in 17 Sep 2008 and claimed asylum at Airport on same day.
2. Granted DLR in Jul 2012.
3. Granted extension in 2015.
4. Granted ILR in Sep 2018.
5. Due Naturalization in Sep 2019.

The person was never ever overstay from 17 Sep 2008 until grant of DLR in Jul 2012. Could you please let me know these periods (asylum) was lawful resident or fall in the good character policy?

Thanks and Regards

Were there any application rejections, reconsiderations or appeals between application in September 2008 and July 2012?

You made the claim on your arrival to the UK and from that day you were waited for a home office decision until the July 2012. This period was the processing time include even whether you had appealed against home office decision. Therefore you did not overstayed and your good to go for naturalisation application without any doubt

Thanks dear. my first asylum application was refused then IAT appeal (refused), then went to Upper Court (refused) and lastly Court of Appeal (Refused), after Court of appeal no applicant sent to HO but received DLR papers after 2 months (2008 to 2012).
