Europe visa

Post by Vesh123 » Mon Aug 19, 2019 6:15 pm

Hi, I need some information regarding schengen visa. I would be thankful if someone help me with this ASAP?

1. I’m planing to apply for France visa. What documents I need for that?

2. Can I go by car as my friend has a car and we are going together so in that case what document I need to provide to embassy?

3. From France can I go to Switzerland, or I need a visa for it?

4. Can I show my spouse financial documents as I’m a house wife and don’t work? So what documents in that case?

4. How long the visa process ?

Thanks
Vesh

The visa process for France starts here:
https://uk.ambafrance.org/The-new-offic ... nce-is-now

And you need TLS Contact at one point too (for the appointment)

They will tell you all the documents you need to show.
3. From France can I go to Switzerland, or I need a visa for it?
Yes, you can go to Switzerland as they accept Schengen visas.
4. Can I show my spouse financial documents as I’m a house wife and don’t work? So what documents in that case?
Not working is reason number 1 for visa refusal. You can still show payslips / accounts from your husband but I don't believe the French would grant you visa on that basis.

Thanks for your reply, but my husband is British and he is travelling with me, so can’t I use his statement

Thanks

Absolutely. If you don't have an account yourself and don't work, by all means use your husband's account.

The only thing I would like to stress is that the refusal risk is very high when someone applies for a tourist visa without showing any proof of activity (student, worker, self-employed...).

If your spouse is British, you have the option of applying as a family member of an EU/EEA/Swiss national. Financial documents won't be asked of you.

Hi, does someone help me with my below question.

"I heard that if someone spouse is British national and he/she is travelling with spouse then he/she doesn't need the Europe visa?"

My hubi is British and I'm her dependent as spouse. He is travelling with me so do I need a visa for Europe?

Hope you hear someone soon.

Thanks
Vesh

You need to have a card or a sticker in the passport written on it "RESIDENCE CARD OF A FAMILY MEMBER OF A UNION CITIZEN".

The card looks like that:

You get this card if you applied under EEA rules. It usually the case if your husband is EEA national or British but used to live with you in a European country.

If you got your card by following UK immigration rules, you can't go to Europe visa free.

Family members of EU/EEA citizens traveling together with or going to join the EU/EAA citizen are having an accelerated Schengen visa process and it is being offered for free. Apart from the confirmed accommodation you aren't supposed to show any documents pertaining to employment or any bank statements.

Hope this helps.

First off, congrats on your Schengen visa.
It doesn't really matter where you go first as the Schengen visa allows you to visit these countries and others as well (you can check weblink removed by moderator
So pack your bags and have a wonderful trip!
