Hi all,
In the June and July 2019 RCOS allocation page, it is stated that since 2 June 2019, all applicants require 40 points and above to be successful. This is a substantial amount over the 21 points in the previous months, which is quite a cause of concern.
However, looking at the updated official Tier 2 sponsor guidelines, it seems that the points calculation methods have changed. See section 29.17 onwards here.
With the new method, points are still composed of "job and recruitment" and "salary". There seems to be some changes to the "job and recruitment" points table. Points for salary is now calculated with 1 point for every 1000 GBP gross annual salary.
For example if an applicant has applied with a job with no shortage or PhD requirements paying 40000 GBP annually, he/she will score 20 + 40 = 60 points.
This is the best I can interpret the document, am wondering if anyone has any experience/knowledge of the new points system?
Cheers
Joel
