Uk Visit Visa islamabad Pakistan

Hi all
Just wanted to know when we apply for uk visit visa from pakistan. Do we have to physically submit documents and passport or its same as UK sopra steria scanned documents upload only?

The reason i asking this question is that i need to send documents to pakistan. If its only upload then it would save lots of time
