Tier 2 (General) VISA Extension: minimum salary/work hours

Post by Ven_cpe » Fri Nov 15, 2019 11:10 pm

Please forgive if this is posted in the wrong section. I could not find any other relevant threads.

I hold a Tier 2 (General) VISA and currently work for the NHS. I have been offered a permanent position and will therefore have to be paid £30,000 as a minimum salary for a 39 hour work week.

Here are my questions:

(1) The offered position pays only £24,214 based on a 37.5 hour work week. Would it therefore be possible for me to qualify for a Tier 2 (General) Extension if I work 47.5 hours per week. This would increase my total salary to £30,671 and still be within the 48 hour work week cut-off.

(2) I have also been offered another position that pays £29,056 based on a 37.5 hour work week. Would this case qualify me for an extension considering the equivalent salary for a 39 hour work week would be £30,219.

Thanks very much for your time! :? :?
