Filling in the SET (M) Form online

Post by Yazzy » Sat Oct 05, 2019 11:12 am

Hi everyone,
Just a quick question. I am filling in my husbands ILR Set (m) form online and it mentions

Do you have a valid national identity card? (Required)
This includes identity cards, issued from non-UK governments. This does not include driving licences. If you have an internal passport, provide the details here.

Does this mean his BRP card or something else?
Spouse Application: 7th January 2013

Visa Stamped: 7th August 2014

It means an identity card from home country. You can answer NO as it is not required.

Im confused on what to write for a question in the form

Are you part of any social groups or do you have other cultural ties in your country of birth, nationality or any other country where you have lived for more than 5 years? (Required)

What do they mean by it and how do you answer that?
My husband is not part of any social groups but if i write NO it says to explain why?

Few quick questions

Post by Yazzy » Fri Oct 18, 2019 2:29 pm

I'm getting ready to submit my husbands ILR form online. and i'd just like to know

How many joint name letters do i have to submit if we do not have individual name letters for co habitation proof?

What type of ceremony was your wedding or civil partnership?
We had a nikkah in India. The certificate was then registered under the India marriage act. What answer do i give for this? Can i just write MARRIAGE?

My husband has previously over stayed on a holiday visa which we have mentioned in the form. It states in the form how many years have you lived in the UK? Do we have to count those years also or do we just write 5 years & 2 months on his current spouse visa?

Also we have 12 months bank statements and pay slips. He just received his most recent pay 2 days ago. Should i include that with a print out statement from the bank which is stamped by the bank?

In the form for my husbands pay i have ticked 'Not the same amount continuously, above the financial requirement amount' each month my husband gets paid depending on the hours he work. My husbands work place has written him a employers letter which states the fixed hours he is supposed to work. Will stating the hours confuse the Home office as he usually always works more then those hours so the pay is always more. The pay slip does not say overtime. It only says number of hours worked and hourly rate and total amount earned.

How many letters do you need if you want to include both joint and individual letters? And if its individual letters do they have to be for both persons for each quarter?

Qyick ILR Question help please

Post by Yazzy » Tue Oct 29, 2019 1:13 pm

I just have a quick question if someone could please help me.

My husbands FLR (M) was granted in April 2017 and we continued to stay at my parents house until July 2017. Then we moved into a property i owned already. After we moved in we remortgaged the property and changed ownership from my name to joint name (mine and my husbands). This was all done in December 2017. I am submitting my mortgage agreement and a copy of land registry in our names.

Do i need to explain all this in a cover letter and show proof i owned the property beforehand etc?

No. But any correspondence received regarding that can be used as proof of cohabitation.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

Thank you for your reply.

My husbands FLR M visa expires on 6 November. I’ve submitted his ILR today and paid for the 24 hour super priority service. But the next available appointment at a enhanced centre is 3 weeks away. Is this ok? As my husbands visa will have expired by then?

I'd like to ask about bank statements if anyone could please advise

We submitted my husbands ILR application on 30th october 2019.

We will be submitting 12 months bank statments.

From 27th October 2018 to 24th October 2019
Is this counted as 12 months? or does it have to be example 27th october 2018 till 27th October 2019?

You can check your status using BRP (if not expired).
https://www.gov.uk/prove-right-to-work

You will get a refund if the decision is not made by the end of the next working day. Check your junk emails.
'home atlas notification'

Otherwise, be patient and wait for the decision in the post (might take 5 working days).

Read the experience of other people using super-priority

Hi everyone just a quick update. We just received my husbands ILR biometrics card. We submitted the biometrics on the 18th. It says on the card it was issued on the 19th so the decision was made within 24 hours. I'd like to thank everyone for all their help over the past 5 years. At every stage of this journey I've always come on this forum for advice and guidance and it has all been very helpful. Thank you all so much.

Just 1 last question i have. As we now have the Indefinite can i apply for his naturalisation or do i need to wait 12 months?
I'm a British citizen from birth.

1. Please ask your British citizenship question in the specific British Citizenship sub forum. These questions are not relevant to the ILR sub forum.

2. If he meets the 3 years spouse of BC requirement then no need to wait 12 months.
