Does registering a limited company and becoming it's director cause issues when renewing 10 year parent route 2.5 year visas? One of my friends said his skilled visa renewal application got refused due to an issue with his limited company'e tax payment error. Is that possible? Thank you.

Different visa category and rules. Don't confuse the skilled/work visa rules with your visa route.
