Spouse Visa Question after divorce from EU citizen

Post by Jabir314 » Tue Feb 04, 2020 8:44 am

Good evening,
If a non-EU national was married before with EU national under UK English marriage law but now divorced his EU partner under UK English court system with Decree absolute. Now if that person marry in Pakistan under Islamic Nikkah system then whether he need to say divorced on Nikkah certificate or not as his 1st English marriage never be registered in Pakistan under Islamic system? If he says single instead divorced on nikkah nama then in future apply spouse visa for her Pakistani wife then will the Home office object that point even on nikkah nama even the Sponsor is supplying decree absolute and mentioning on Appendix 2 form about is English divorce but only not mentioning on Islamic nikkah nama??

Please re-articulate your question. I read it twice, it doesn't mean anything.

That will leads towards guaranteed refusal and you will be charged with deception. A legally performed marriage even at abroad under any believe/creed is counted as valid for visa purposes. Your second wife should also know your first marriage because she can be interviewed/asked.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.
