ILR through Tier 2 & Tier 1

Post by Ahmad_Ahmadi » Mon Feb 17, 2020 11:08 am

In the Cambridge University website, there is a pdf file:
"Indefinite Leave to Remain: Guidance for current and prospective staff"

and it is written that:

"Eligibility for settlement after five years requires that you have held any combination of the
following types of visas continuously for a period of five years:
 Tier 1 (Entrepreneur)
 Tier 1 (Exceptional talent)
 Tier 1 (Investor)
 Tier 2 (General)"

So you mean it is not correct? And If and only if the first visa is Tier1 (Exceptional talent) and the second one is Tier 2, they can be combined and not the way around?

First of all you should NOT tag your questions on a topic :!: :!:
Advice given on that post was asked for ILR under Tier 1 Entrepreneur route. However under Tier 1 Exceptional talent, time spent under Tier 2 will count towards ILR. This is again why you should not tag your questions on random topics which leads to confusion :?
Advice is given based on my personal research and experience only. Do NOT contact me via private message for immigration advice

Thank you for your response.
It was not my intention to randomly tag a question. Because, first, neither in the topic nor in the question I did not notice that this is about Tier 1 Entrepreneur. Second, based on the Cambridge file, any combination of these 4 types of visas could be considered for a period of five years, which could also include Tier 2 (General)+Tier 1 (Entrepreneur), that seems not to be correct.
Thank you anyway.
