No new guidance on this situation that I have come across yet so the requirements would still remain the same for now. There has always been the option of applying using Category G and using the average of the income received in the last two full financial years to meet the financial requirement for those who are self-employed. Not really as many people embark on other career paths when see/forecast decline there. For instance like in your case you have about 13 months from now and may find a paye job where considerably reduced paper work with simplified calculations than self employment is attached.
