ii. 15 months bank stmt
iii. Salary certificate stating gross and net earnings
iv. Annual Tax Return (covers 1 month of my claim period)
v. Certificate of Deductions of Tax issued by the company and stamped by Tax Authority for remaining 11 months.
vi. OandA conversion page

B. Independent Contractor
i. Letter from accountant showing gross and net earnings
ii. Bank statment showing the amounts transferred.
iii. contract documents
iv. Certificate of Deductions of Tax issued by the company and stamped by Tax Authority for the duration of the contract.
v. Payment invoices
vi. OandA conversion page

8. UK Experience (0 ponits claimed)

9. English Language Requirement
a. IELTS test report (7.5 Band)
b. Certificate of MOI from UNI. UNI is available on UK-NARIC database.

10. Maintenance Funds
I am showing combined total from 2 accounts to meet 2800GBP requirement for last 90 days. Separate documents provided for EACH bank account.

a. Original Bank stmt from each bank of last 90 days
b. Letter from each bank stating that I have been maintaining the account from a specified period.
C. OandA conversion page

11. Professional References

12. Photocopies of All the original documents

There is no specific file cover just general folder in which you put documents in a sheet separated by "page separaters".

Sequence is what i have mentioned in my first post.

I need tips from experienced users who have submitted their applications to share their experience.

Come on guys :)

It's nice done! I am not sure why would you need photocopies of all your originals. Is it a requirement or you are sending it just in case they need? If they need, can't they take the photocopy themself?
Best regards,
Mani

Yes, the above link should suffice your cover letters need as I got them from the same thread ;) very useful thread :)

About the photocopies, Yes it is a requirement to send the copies alongwith your original documents !

I put the copies in a separate folder but at VAC they told me to remove both (original & copies) from the folder and provide in loose format. However, on my request they allowed me to keep the originals in a folder but i had to take copies out of the folder and give them in loose format.

As per the guidance notes, for an independent contractor, you need to show 2 types of documents:

1) Letter from the accountant
2) bank stmts

Any further evidences like contract docs, payment invoices can help but they are NOT considered as 'Required documents' but it is always good to provide as much evidences as you can !

Contract document MUST have some legal value and should not be plain white paper. A 'Stamp' paper is usually used for contract purposes here in Pakistan so you can have your contract written on that stamp paper, signed by both stakeholders, stamped and signed by the notary public.

Hi,

The document list you have suggested is for fresh Tier-1 application. Please let me know which documents to provide for HSMP letter holder. because in Appendix A it is mentioned that, if person has HSMP approval letter then they need to fill only certain sections and no need to fill section 2 to 6 I guess which are age, education,English language requirements etc.. so in that case, do we need to provide all the documents which we have submitted for HSMP initial application?

Hi,

I am planning to apply for tier 1 application and I am in the process of collecting the entire document.
This document check list is really helpful for arranging my all the documents. I am having one few doubts on the salary certificate.
1. When I request my employer for the salary certificate they given the salary certificate in scan format in the PDF and they asked to take a colour print out, and they told me that they won't give the original copy.
2. Right now I am in UK and they given the salary certificate stating my gross income in pound and I am planning to apply from India. It may make any difference.
3. In the certificate they mentioned only the gross salary not the net amount. is it ok. or I need to request for them to give both.

Please clarify the above points.
