EU1A EU Partner Requirements Questions

Hi All,

My partner is a Dutch Citizen, I am a de facto partner of 3 years. We would be applying for a EU1A "Application to be treated as a permitted family member of a Union citizen"

Questions:

1. I have heard 2 years living together is considered a bench mark although not mandatory or a legal requirement. Has anyone had any experience with getting past this if they don't have two years living together?

2. She is self-employed, is there a criteria she must reach in order to be exercising her treaty rights? For example: earn a certain amount of money or be registered with the Irish companies registration office?

3. I don't need a visa to visit Ireland for up to 3 months. Can I apply for the EU1A while on this "short term stay visa"?
