A fiance, generally wouldn't be taking the test. It would be a spouse or civil partner, in order to be granted Indefinate Leave to Remain (ILR) in the UK, at the end of their initial 2 year settlement visa.

I think we'd need to know more - a friend of a friend of mine went on a TV doc about Russian Women coming to UK and they made him look a right dick.

Think that was 'for' C4 too....

Has preparing for the test brought you closer to your fiancé, or added additional pressure?
In my experience, my partner didn't show the least bit of interest in the test. Same for my friends who took it. The biggest reaction from most Brits - partners, friends or otherwise - is:

a) disbelief at the questions asked since they don't know the answers, either

and

b) relief that they never had to take a test to prove their Britishness.

I think any 'additional pressure' is more likely to come from finding the money to pay the application fees, uncertainty over which benefits might affect an application, missing docs, past illegal activities that could threaten the success of the application, etc. The test for the most part is just an annoying extra.

But if you can find couples who fit your criteria, more power to you...

Is the programme focussed on couples? or on the test?
Oh, the drama...!

Hmm, sounds like one of those 'employment agents' who collect CVs from people with the promise of 'potential' jobs.
I will pass this one for now.

Can you post your credentials here, so that we can verify you are legit?
Thanks.
