Calculating leave days

Post by Clyde194 » Tue Sep 08, 2020 6:02 am

I am on a tier 2 visa and have 33 days paid leave (25 days annual leave plus 8 days bank holidays).

I have already taken 8 days off abroad this year (including two weekend days).

I plan to leave for a further 35 days outside the country this year. Whic means it will it will be 25 paid leave days and the rest of the 10 days weekends.

My question: When I file for application for ILR will this be a problem as I am going to be outside te country for 35 days while my leave is only 25 days. In other words, do I have to take into account the weekends as well as part of permissive leave?

You are over thinking.

Leave days are only from Mon to Fri. So potentially you can be out of the country for 7 days with only 5 days PTO.

Also, some weeks have bank holidays and if you are wise with your holidays, you may be out of the country for 20 days with just 10 days holidays.
