UK Wife of US Citizen Visa

Hi All,

This is a question for my niece (British) intends on marrying (in the UK on an MVV) her US fiancé. Once married she wants to move to the US to be with him and live there.

As I understand it, it is far easier for her to get a visa to join him, than if she was to apply for a Spouse visa for him to come live in the UK. Is this correct?

Can someone please tell me the process as so much info, I can't see the wood for the trees.

Does he apply from the US? What is the cost? What do they need to prove, accommodation, his salary, genuine relationship etc? Timescales for receiving visa?

Any pitfalls?
