Spouse visa ext and self employment

Post by Kaykash » Fri Apr 10, 2020 1:08 am

Hi guys

My spouse visa extension due in March 2021.
My concern is that I been self employed for last
Three years and as we all know that financial years ends on 5th April every year
. So I can’t do my self assessment for the year 2020/2021 before April 2021 . But I need to apply before 15th March 2021 for spouse visa .
I m just worried that case worker will reject visa extension because of I can’t privide them my self assessment .

What should I do ?
Plz all seniors and gurus reply

Thx

9. Self-employment or Director or
employee of a specified limited company
in the UK

9.1. Category F: Last full financial year
9.1.1. Where the applicant’s partner (and/or the applicant if they are in the UK with permission to
work) is in self-employment, or is either the director or employee (or both) of a specified
limited company in the UK, at the date of application, they can use income from the last
full financial year to meet the financial requirement.

9.2. Category G: Average of last two full financial years
9.2.1. Where the applicant’s partner (and/or the applicant if they are in the UK with permission to
work) is in self-employment, or is the director or employee (or both) of a specified limited
company in the UK, at the date of application, they can choose instead to rely on
Category G. This allows them to use an average of the income received in the last
two full financial years to meet the financial requirement.

9.2.2. A reference to the “average” of the income received in the last two full financial years in
Category G is a reference to the mean average.

What I need to upload to proof as I m self employed and earned more than 18600 .
Self assessment ? All pages or any summary prided my HMRC or what ??
One more question is that my gross income around 40k per annum but after expenses maybe around 14000/15000 pounds .
So they do consider gross income or after expenses income ??
Thanks all seniors and gurus

Full list of supporting documents to prove self employment is available in the official guidance Appendix fm 1.7 which link has been provided in previous post, so refer to it.
Under self employment the gross income will be the remainder sum after deducting all allowable business expenditures. In other words the amount of income on which the tax will be charged.

Thanks dude

My gross income was last financial year was 27500
Income related expenses was 8000
So 27500-8000 = 19500
Less tax free personal allowances 12500

19500-12500 = 7000 net

My question is that would case worker consider 19500 my gross income or 7000 (after deduction of tax free allowances)

Thanks in advance all seniors and gurus

Paper working of self employment

Post by Kaykash » Tue May 12, 2020 10:25 pm

Hello seniors and gurus

My spouse visa going to expire in March 2021.

And we all know that financial years ends of 5th April . As per my understanding I can submit last financial year self assessment . Right ??
And what documents I need for home office ??
As people discussing on this board that too many papers require for extension if someone is self employed .

Plz reply

Thanks

Have you read through Appendix 1.7 section 9?? It explains everything you need to submit.

"Too many papers" is an interesting opinion of the required supporting evidence. It is all documentation you should have available already or is easily obtainable.
I'm just a guy on the Internet who immigrated to the UK. My opinions are based on my experience and interpretation of the immigration rules and should not be considered legal or immigration advice; your mileage may vary.

Yes they are in contrast to where someone is doing a paye job or holding sufficient cash savings. If your partner is working and earning sufficiently then she can use her income alone by skipping yours self employment. In all scenarios refer to the guidance directed to you by CR001 & geong.

Spouse visa extension

Post by Kaykash » Sun May 17, 2020 11:44 am

Hi
My partner asked for Naric for comparability check of her Ukrainian qualifications

NARIC sent her statement of comparability and
Awarded here bachelors (honours) degree as per comparable Uk qualification .

Is it enough for Visa extension requirement for spouse visa ??

Thx

Please do not tag onto other members topics. It is unfair to other users.

She needs the comparable and the English assessment.

How much did you pay for the assessment? Both assessments cost about £150

question regarding NARIC

Post by Kaykash » Tue May 26, 2020 12:14 pm

hello seniors and gurus

I will apply FLR(M) in few months time
regarding English assessment for visa purpose I m confused about NARIC certificates
I have already NARIC statement of comparability certificate against my native country's qualification
Naric Awarded me Bachelors (honours) certificate
but NARIC website showing three different certificates on their website which are:-

* statement of comparability ( which I already have)
* English Language Assessment
* Visa and National Service

now I m confused that should I get rest of others two or statement of comparability is enough to apply FLR(m)

thanks guys
ur advices will be highly appreciated

regards

I think you just chosen what cost you less instead the red route which should have already given you both statements.

The ukvi red route is the naric assessment for visa and settlement and does both assessments.

Thank GOD that will at least prevent refusal/switching into flrfp - 10 years because "Red route" is now clarified which is actually needed :D

It is not a new certificate so the old translation that was used before will do.
