Child born in UK- Birth registration in indian embasy london

Hi There,

I have been looking to register for my child's birth who is born in UK ( Cardiff in April,2020), I have got the birth certificate from local council. Now I have also filled up the online registration form at high commission of India, London. Now I am trying to book an online appointment at website https://www.hcilondon.gov.in/page/children-eligible/ , there is a link called Online appointment of Consular service, when I click that link, it takes me to this site https://www.vfsvisaservice.com/IHC-UK-A ... VLcp3A4%3D, here when I click schedule appointment link and select under service " Birth registration of child". it says Please try again later or call our helpdesk on 09057570045,

Its been saying the same thing for weeks now, I don't know if the process has been changed at VFS or indian high commission end for birth registration. has someone recently done the birth registration at high commission london and what is the process to book the appointment?

Hi. I've used https://www.hcilondon.gov.in/appointment/ to book the appointment for birth registration and had it completed. It is not done in VFS so no need to go to VFS services for appointment.

One more point, AFAIK (not 100% sure) the appointments open a month ahead and might be taken quicker so you better check early in the morning. Good luck!
