Proof of relationship address Letters - FLR (M)

Post by M35D » Wed Dec 30, 2020 9:48 am

Hello,

Just wanted a quick head up as to how many years of letters will I need for a FLR (M) application? Is it 2 years or for 2.5 years? The timeline is as follows:

Visa granted: May 2018
Arrival in UK: June 2018
Visa expires: 10 February 2021

So from which Month onwards should my Proof of relationship Address letters be?

Thanks!

The timeline is as follows: either 2 years or 2.5 is fine but majority of people seems to go for last 2 years since it is what the application form asked for when filling the application online.

Visa granted: May 2018
Arrival in UK: June 2018
Visa expires: 10 February 2021

So from which Month onwards should my Proof of relationship Address letters be?

Thanks!

Cheers!

So that's from either January 2019 or February 2019 then depending on the month I apply. Correct?

Yes correct. Last 2 years from date of application, documents evenly spaced in months to cover the period.

Another quick question regarding Proof of Relationship letters:

According to what I've come across, if the letters are in joint names then I will be required to provide 6 letters in total. Question is, will all 6 letters need to be different? Or is it sufficient to have for example 6 letters with the joint name all from the same bank?

Thanks in advance!

No.

The 6 documents should be from at least 3 different sources.

You would need to send documents evenly spread out to show you have been together over the course of 2.5 years.

Thanks for the replies!

Hoping to apply by the 8th of Feb 2021 so the 2 year period will be from February 2019 if I'm correct?
If someone could just let me know if I've sorted mines out correctly please:

March 2019: JOINT (Bank 1)
5 month gap
September 2019: Me - Mobile bill / Spouse - Mobile bill
2 month gap
December 2019: Me - Mobile bill / Spouse - Mobile bill
2 month gap
March 2020: Me - Bank 1 Statement / Spouse - Bank 1 Statement
3 month gap
July 2020: Me - Mobile bill / Spouse - Mobile bill
3 month gap
November 2020: JOINT (Bank 1)
1 month gap
January 2021: JOINT (Bank 2)

Total = 3 JOINT and 8 SEPERATE.

(Don't have anything for between April 2019 to August 2019 so a 5 month gap there)

Thanks!

Financial Requirement Question - FLR (M)

Post by M35D » Sat Jan 23, 2021 5:57 pm

Hello,

I am a little confused as to which Gross Annual Salary figure I should be using. If someone could please help out.
The detail is as follows:
I will be applying in the beginning of February 2021 and my 12 month period starts in February 2020.
I received £1000 per month until August 2020 (since I started my employment over 4 years ago) and from September 2020 onwards I have been receiving £1500 (wage increase).

So my income hasn't been the same in the 12 month period.

Which of the following should I mention as my Gross:
1) £12000 (as that is what I earned in my last financial year)
2) £18000 (as that is what I will earn in one year according to my new salary)
3) £14500 (as this is how much I have earned from February 2020 to the end of January 2021)

Please.

Do you have a fixed annual salary or you are non salaried? and your salary from September still doesn't meet the requirement? Could you clarify.

I will also be including my spouses salary. Together we reach the requirement.

If the income is fixed, they will usually take the lowest in the last 6 months to calculate your total income and what about your wife income? is it also fixed ?

Yes, the income is fixed. But they have requested 12 months payslips so will it be the lowest in 6 months or 12 months? Mines increased due to a payrise.
And yes, my wifes income is also fixed, but it has remained the same for 12 months.

If both of your income are salaried based, the lowest will be taken and multiply by 12 if both of you are paid monthly. You also need to provide 6 months payslips each from both of your employers.

Well, still confused but thanks.

Who should the Cover Letter be addressed to? Just a Sir/Madam? Or a specific title?
Thanks.
