Tax Reference number

Post by Deepee78 » Sat Jan 23, 2021 8:54 pm

Hi Seniors,

Looks like ~I misunderstood Tax reference number as UTR number and submitted the application. Later found out that the Tax reference number as asked in the application should be the PAYE reference number. I am worried will this affect my application. Any suggestion please as this is the genuine mistake as a lot of people confused with Tax reference number.

No issues. Just add a note in the cover letter and upload with your documents before biometrics.

If you have submitted biometrics already, send HO an email.

This is not something that can result in a refusal anyways.

It is because you are registered as self-employed and do not have a limited company. If you have a limited company UTR is for the company, and the PAYE ref is the tax reference for the employer.

Hi Seniors,

After submitting the form I was directed to book a UKVAS appointment, However, while filing the form it was mentioned that if a candidate biometric is already available in the system because of previous visa applications then the candidate need not attend the biometric appointment. Hence I want to know whether I should wait for there email regarding this or shall I go ahead and book the appointment.
Thanks in advance.
