EEA family permit delay

Post by Zaki12 » Thu Jan 28, 2021 9:09 am

Hi guys,
This is my first post so apologies in advance for any duplication or errors
My brother in law has applied for EEA family permit as an extended family member of EU national. He has had his biometric done on 4th of Dec 2020 and we had a 'non-straightforward' email on 22nd Dec. However since then we have not heard anything.
Is anyone in similar situation? where you have had your biometric done in end of November or early Dec 2020 and have not heard anything? I would very much appreciate if you share your experiences/ outcomes?
I am not sure whether the delay is because of the number of applications they are going through as when I applied for my mother in law in Nov 2020, she had her visa issued within 3 weeks.
Please share your experiences

Thanks

Yes...!!!!
It takes about 2-3 months in most cases these days.
However each and every application is different.

Thanks, seems like if you are lucky you will receive the outcome within 2/3 weeks or else will have to wait 2/3 months. I hope that the wait is worthwhile and the visa is granted otherwise would feel gutted.
