FLR (M) supporting documents for co-habitation proof

Post by cfrsh91 » Fri Aug 28, 2020 12:57 pm

Afternoon

I'm a UK citizen and my wife is a non-EU national who is currently in the UK on a Spouse visa, with LTR until 11/11/2021.
I'm aware of the requirement to provide co-habitation proof, and although we are still 15 months away from expiration/renewal, I'm keen to get together a list of the co-habitation documents we'll need to have a successful renewal.
With the above LTR expiration date, can someone specify the periods which we need to cover with documents to provde co-habitation during this current period please?
Also, is it possible to use printed documents to cover this period or do they all need to be originals through the post?

Thanks

Cohabitation evidences must be 6 in number if joint named or 12 if in sole names should be from at least 3 sources covering the last 2 years with even gaps of 3-4 months. For this purpose any document from credible sources either delivered online or by post can be used.

Gotcha.
So would the period be 2 years back from the date of submission (I believe this is a maximum of 28 days prior to expiration) - so 14/11/2021 - 15/11/2019?

Is this correct?

Great, thanks.

On a further note, my wife's passport is due to expire in Nov 2022 - is this likely to cause a complication with the FLR (M) renewal expiring after this date? Does she need to renew her passport early or anything?

Thanks

No.

No. Simply renew the passport at the appropriate time. The passport needs to be valid when she applies. There is no requirement that it must be valid for x number of years.

Despite the passport should be at least valid on the date of application but ideally it should be extended in timely for smoother biometrics appointment at ukvcas as it can be halted due to expired passport.

FLR(M) eligibility/submission date

Post by cfrsh91 » Tue Mar 09, 2021 11:25 pm

Evening

I'm a UK citizen and my wife is a non-EU national who is currently in the UK on a Spouse visa, with LTR until 11/11/2021.

Can someone please offer clarification on when we can apply for FLR?
I'm slightly confused as I've read some sources say '28 days before LTR expiration' and others say
'28 days from the 30 month anniversary of arrival in UK'.

Thanks in advance.

Eligibility window for FLR application starts from 28 days before reaching 30months in UK (starting from date of entry into UK) till date of expiration of the current leave.

FLR(M) supporting documents

Post by cfrsh91 » Fri Apr 16, 2021 6:25 pm

Hi all

I'm a UK citizen and my wife is a non-EU national who is currently in the UK on a Spouse visa, with LTR until 11/11/2021.

On the basis that we can apply for FLR(M) upto 28 days before the 30 month anniversary of her UK entrance (28 days before 08/09/21 = 11/08/21), we'll be applying within a few days of 11th August 2021 - is this acceptable or could it cause issues when applying for ILR?

Also, with reference to the supporting documents required for FLR(M), we plan on doing the following:

June 2019: separate documents, Thames Water bill for me dated 27/06/19 + Barclays bank statement for my OH dated 12/06/19
December 2019: separate documents, First Direct bank statement for me dated 07/12/19 + Barclays bank statement for my OH dated 12/12/19
April 2020: separate documents, First Direct bank statement for me dated 07/04/20 + Nat West letter for my OH dated 08/04/20
August 2020: joint document, Council Tax bill in joint names dated 03/08/20
December 2020: joint document, IWNL water bill in joint names dated 14/12/20
March 2021: joint document, Council Tax bill in joint names dated 19/03/21
July 2021: TBC nearer the time

Are these documents likely to be satisfactory in terms of how they are spread out over the period and the officialness of the sources used?
Also, is it likely an issue that the first items we are using are from June 2019, when this falls outside of the 2 year period?
Do we need to cover from August 2019 to August 2021, July 2019 to July 2021, or otherwise?

Thanks in advance to anyone with the wisdom to help out here.

For some reason, new posts keep getting merged with old ones I've posted on similar topics.. Which only makes the questions get lost in translation :( :(
