Paid enquiry to UK visa

Post by Becks149 » Sat Apr 24, 2021 5:33 pm

Hello

My spouse wanted an update on the status of his spouse visa application and made a paid enquiry to the UK visa and immigration International contact centre.

He received a reply saying that a decision has been made but the outcome cannot be discussed online or by phone.

Can someone tell me after how long will he be contacted to collect his passport? Also is this a standard response? If a visa is granted will they write it in the email or if it has been refused, will they hesitate to write in the email?

Have you completed 60WD?

Yes, the biometrics appointment was on the 23rd of Jan 2021 so the 60 day period ended on 24th of March.

@TODMATT mentioned 60WD. I think that would translate as 60 working days or 12 weeks.

Once you factor in Bank Holiday Mondays and the Easter long holiday, etc, I think effectively 60WD translates into 13 weeks or 3 months.

But I am sure that @TODMATT and others will correct me if I am wrong in my understanding.

No you have recently just completed 60WD on 20/04/2021 so therefore you can escalate your application now. It is not every country who gets a decision made via email and if you have not been sent an email then you won't know the decision until you open your passport.

It's around 12 weeks from when you attend biometrics.

Thank you for your response. Any idea that how long will it take for an email to come to collect passport since a decision has already been made? Does it vary based on each case?

It's hard to say when it would come but just hope this week you should get the email to pick up the passport. Good luck

Could you please tell me who will send the email and to whom will it be sent. Is it the sponsor or the applicant?

After uploading the documents online and attending the biometrics, are we able to access our supporting documents on the website after logging in or can only the HO view the documents?

Even if you are able to log, for what purpose would you want to access what you had submitted. IMHO, it is in your own interest not to tamper with in any way, shade or for your uploaded documents once you have completed your biometrics at which point you have handed ALL about the application to HO.

Thanks for your reply. I do not intend to tamper any uploaded documents. I just wanted to know whether the documents could be viewed again or is access blocked?

Can someone please help. My case seems to be getting complicated with each passing day. Biometrics were done on 23rd Jan 2021 but have had no response. Spouse did a paid email enquiry and was told decision made and will be notified to collect passport soon. I also called on 13th May and they have esclated the case and will response within 15 working days. The most confusing part is that I received an email 2 days ago from BRP Error team saying that my application for a replacement BRP has been successful and will be ready for collection within 10 days. I have not applied for a replacement and also they mentioned my old BRP in the email which needs to be destroyed. I am puzzled. Also, suprisingly the post office address is my local post office address. I have replied to the email but have had no response. Any suggestions? Anyone knows the direct number for BRP Error team.
