Student Visa Application Question

Post by shahzy970 » Thu May 06, 2021 10:40 am

Hi All,

Question on behalf of a friend.

My friend is applying for a student visa to pursue masters in the UK; he married and has 2 kids. He plans to go alone, and probably later in the year, or early next year, he'll apply for his family.

In the meantime, while filling in the student application, he came across the below questions.
" Does anyone rely on you for financial support? Include both travelling with you and those also who are not"

Should he be mentioning the family relies on his support?

appreciate your help on this - thanks

Experience shows that often when someone is asking "should I mention" something in a visa application, they may be looking for ways to not mention it, either by deception or omission, because they think it will be harmful to their application.

This seems to be a clear and straight question with a yes or no answer.
I do not give immigration advice. I refer you to Immigration Rules, guidance, other online content and to your sponsor.
