Multiple COS assigned switch from Tier 2 General to Skilled worker visa

Hi

I'm currently on Tier 2 General visa and switching to Skilled worker with a different employer. My new employer has assigned COS to me today with a start date of 15/07/21 while my current CoS is valid until Oct 2023. My question is can I apply for visa without cancelling existing COS. I have read multiple threads here which says I cannot have two COS but have come across conflicting views. Please advice. Thanks

No, your current CoS automatically expired 3 months after it was assigned (or when you obtained your visa if sooner) so there is no issue here

Hi Manci Thanks. The current CoS work end date is Oct 2023, will this pose a problem. Does my current employer inform UKVI/cancel before I make a new application.
