UK visa for spouse of irish citizisen

Hi all. I am an Irish citizen and I was looking to travel for holidays to UK with my wife who is an non EU citizen. Do I need to apply for UK visit visa for her or EEA family permit??. What's the best way to go about that. Thanks

I think the EEA family permits are only meant for people going to settle in the UK. You just need to apply for the relevant VISA for visiting the UK as a tourist https://www.gov.uk/standard-visitor

In the longer term, if you've lived together in Ireland for over 3 years, your wife should be looking to apply to naturalise as an Irish Citizen, and would then be able to travel within the UK & EU without any restrictions
