Applying for BC as a spouse of a BC

Post by a85 » Thu Apr 28, 2022 3:17 pm

Hi Everyone,

Thanks to this forum, my wife just got the ILR (5 yrs on PBS dependent). I had these two questions:
1. I recently got my British Passport, so for my wife to apply as a spouse of a British person, does the marriage needs to be registered in UK, or the marriage certificate from other countries is accepted?
2. Do I need to provide the cohabitation document again as we did for her ILR ?
Thanks in advance for your support!

1. A foreign marriage certificate is acceptable plus English translation if applicable.

2. Not required. Citizenship is not an immigration application.
