Naturalisation Certificate Delivery 2022

Post by corkms » Tue May 03, 2022 7:48 am

After initially applying for naturalisation in 2021 and largely feeling like a ship at sea, I've only just discovered this forum and feel a bit of comfort knowing that countless other people have been through the same set of experiences.

I count myself lucky, because last week I received a brown envelope in the post and quickly paid the €950 and returned my certified declaration by post on the same day.

One question I have that I haven't seen too much written about here is, how long has it taken people to receive their Naturalisation Certificates after paying their fees and confirming the delivery of their declarations?

The letter indicated that it could take upto 6 weeks. Is this timeframe accurate?

Can you share when you applied in 2021? Any e-vetting request? and if yes how long does your e-vetting take before you get approval? Acknowledged etc?

8 weeks, that's a dose. Do you remember how many weeks it took for the online form to move from "Submitted" to "Application Submission Complete" on the inisonline system (https://inisonline.jahs.ie/)?

Thanks for the helpful info. It’s good to know how long we should sit tight for. I’ll update this thread when I know more about what’s happening with my cert too.

Hi guys hope you are doing great.
Need to ask you something, was the cetificate delivery registered? I mean, did you guys have to sign when receiving this? I am doing some maths as I will be on holidays and I may not be in the house by the time it gets delivered so I am worry if I need to sign it when this is delivered.

Thanks

My citizenship fee was paid on the 4th of July and it hasn't even been processed yet. I would have thought it would be processed by now. Any idea as to why it could be taking so long?

Hi All

Can I ask how long it took from completing the Garda E vetting to getting your approval letter please?

I applied as an English Citizen in Feb 2021 (5+ years resident in Ireland) and completed the e-vetting in July 2022. I've heard nothing since then.

Thanks in advance.

FINALLY, Certificated Received on Friday. My journey of citizenship is over. Passport application posted. I've already documents and applied for passport online two weeks before i received my certificate of naturalisation. So i only insert my certificate in the envelope and posted to passport office same day i received my naturalisation certificate. This is the same why my spouse did her own and received her passport. I wish everyone good luck.

Congratulations James, what's the printed/issued date on letter or certificate? Does the postman asked to sign the delivery or drop the post in postbox?

Are there more people, who got approval around 20th June and send oath of fidelity and payment same week and waiting for certificate ??

Congratulations! James, can I ask how long after you submitted your E-Vetting application did you hear the next bit of correspondence? I submitted my E-Vetting application at the end of June and on 29th June it said that the vetting application was complete. I haven't heard anything from anybody since then!

Hi, there are many people who’s vetting were completed in the month of March to may-22. Still no correspondence afterwards. Hard to predict the pattern. Hope it helps.

Could someone please comment: I paid fee for my child’s naturalisation on 25/6/22, got email reply on 22/7/22 that fee is processed and a certificate will be issued and will take 2-3 days to be delivered by An Post registered post (tracking number N/A).
I have not yet received the certificate.
I sent them an email but as all know there is no reply.
Is this a common theme?

I read in this forum that other people got that and later on realized that the 2-3 days statement was wrong, apparently because of a system error. The waiting time is a lot longer than that, so not to worry
