Visa Status Tracking, Complaints and Escalations

Post by bhushanpradhan » Tue Jun 07, 2022 9:15 am

Hi,

Applied for moving to a Tier 2 Skilled Worker Visa on 06th May (Priority Application) and did my Biometrics on 13th May. Its almost been a month without any updates.

What is the best way to 'track' application status (I tried calling the Home Office but they couldn't provide any updates)?

What's the best way to either escalate or track status?

I came across this Complaint form: https://www.ukvi-complaints.homeoffice.gov.uk/reason
Does this work? Is there any other way to track / escalate?

Thanks for your guidance.

Kind regards,

Yes the complaint form does work. Do note that there are delays being experienced across all types of applications. Check timeline threads.

Its an exceptional situation. They have to prioritize Ukrainian refugee applications who are fleeing for their own safety. They are not able to scale up the number of case workers, I guess because a very high security clearance is required.

I don't expect courts to intervene due to this situation. We need to be patient. However, I guess after 12 weeks you can escalate. I guess 12 weeks is their SLA.
