Can I use IELTS from 2013 for naturalisation application

Post by ksrangal » Mon Jul 25, 2022 7:48 am

Hello,

My wife passed IELTS in 2013, then got her T2G visa using this IELTS, then used same IELTS for ILR application in 2020.

Now we are applying for naturalisation, can she use the same IELTS from 2013 for this naturalisation application ?

Also, do we need to supply original certificate, can we just provide a soft copy? We are unable to find original IELTS certificate.

Please share your knowledge on this.
Cheers!!!

If I recall correctly, there was a question during the application process which asks you if you had to prove your language skills as a part of your IRL application. If that one was successful, I am sure they will keep a record of it.

If passed at the appropriate level and still on HO list can be reused.....was still used successfully in 2020 so should be.

Thank you for the response.

Also, do we need to supply original certificate, can we just provide a soft copy? We are unable to find original IELTS certificate.

Soft copy is what you require to upload, including the UER on the certificate

Well, certificate is from 2013, it does not have 'SELT unique reference number'.
So I guess, I can simply upload the soft copy.

Do you know if UKVCAS will ask for Original certificate? Do they verify uploaded documents against original physical copies ?
We have appoint in 1st week of September.

UKVCAS only process scanned documents and biometrics for the Home Office.
UKVI (Home Office) case workers validate whether the documentation is sufficient.
As advised only document scans are required.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.
Please do not send me private messages asking for advice.
