Tier 2 ILR for child born in UK

Post by Vishjai123 » Wed Aug 03, 2022 8:54 am

Dear Team,

My spouse (Tier 2 general)- Pakistani National, myself (dependent on wife) Pakistani National - recently submitted application for ILR in which we did not include our child born in 2020 in UK.
Our child's BRP expiry is same as ours i.e 08/07/2022.
We got an email from Home Office asking

'As part of our duty of care to children in the UK.
Please can you clarify why your dependant child has not been included on this application.'

The reason we did not include our child's application was because we could apply for her British application based on our decision (Instead of paying a huge fees for ILR)
It would be grateful if you can advise

Should we place another ILR application for her?
Should we just reply Home Office with our plans of skipping ILR and applying for British Nationality directly?

Thank you in advance

Hi CR001,

Thank you for the response. Really appreciated.
Hope they do not raise the concern that the child is leaving without any status from the 08 of July.
I will send this response and update the decision we receive.

Thank you again.
