Urgent Travel query (untimely demise)

Post by harpreetjagdey » Mon Aug 08, 2022 3:36 am

Hi All

Please can someone provide some advice

I recently got naturalised on 16th June. My British passport has arrived but my indian passport is still in transit.
I have a need to travel to India due to untimely demise of an immediate family member.

1. If my Indian passport arrives today, Can I travel on Indian passport?

2. If not, can I apply for e-visa and travel to India on British passport provided my Indian passport is not surrendered yet?

Is there any helpline for Indian embassy that can help?

Very grateful for your advice
