I am applying on 19th Jan..bangalore VFS

damn scared!! hopefully i do not make any silly mistakes in filling forms

..gonna check the form atleast 10-15 times before i submit it. hehe

Looks like Delhi VFs is taking more time than other centres.

i recently came across some posts by people who applied at Delhi VFS around Oct/Nov and still waiting for any update.

it has got me worried.

Guys,please share more information about all this at Delhi VFS.

Hi Guys,

Has anyone got their visa stamped in Jan 09. I am a bit worried as my wife applied on the 5th and her passport is back to VFS Chennai on the 15th Jan. Received an email from the BHC which says " A decision has been made and your passport has been dispatched"

Urgent- please share your experience if anyone applied and got their visa approved/rejected. It is fairly a quick process in this case. Does anyone know any similar cases. Couldnt wait until she receives it by courier.

Applied @ Colombo VFS - 5/Jan/2009

The status of the application reads: Transferred to BHC

* Visa's from colombo are transferred to Chennai BHC for the decisions to be made.

I am wondering if it too early to call Colombo VFS to verify?

Monday 19th Jan - Applied for tier1 from Delhi VFS
Tuesday - Status on vfs site - Application fwd'ed to BHC.
Wednesday - Same status as Tuesday..
Thursday- Passport ready for collection !!

Friday(Today) - Went to VFS and collected my tier1 !!.

Passport was ready for collection in 72 hours . Beyond comprehension it is for me!!

I got my tier1 stamped today.
Details as follows:

Date of Submission , Bangalore : 05-JAN-09
Email from BHC : 23-JAN-09 stating decision has been made on my application
Courier Delivered : 28-JAN-09.

Docs Submitted:
a) Passport - Age Proof
b) Degree Cert -
c) Previous Earning from 2 Employers - Payslip , Bank Statement
d) English Language - Degree Certificate
e) Maintenance - 4 Months proof for 2800+ pounds , Bank Statement with ZERO transactions in 4 months
f) SARAL for last 3 years
g) Resume and Cover Letter

Docs NOT Submitted:
1) Affidavit -
Names on Passport , Degree Cert , Payslip, Bank Statement was different ( initial expansion only ).
2) Accomodation Proof
3) Job Search Results

I applied thru vfs delhi on 09 jan 2009

Status today i.e on 28th jan 2009 : Appl fwd to BHC.

A lil bit worried coz till date no verification is being done.

I dont know the reason y these guys are taking so long.

Is there any max time limit.... or turn around time for them to take a decision??
