Hello All

There will be news rules wef from April. I am afraid March applicants will not be affected coz of new rules. I am applying on 9th March. I have requested for reschedule my appointment to 5th March. I have not got any reply from vfs yet. Can I go and file my application without appointment?
Please share the exchange rate for March.
I have some doubts before I apply.
1.Do I need to consider last day of minimum balance day for Maintenance. I am claiming the funds from 1st Dec08 to 1March 09. I have kept INR 2,52000 in my account.
2. I will be submitting ICICI bank statements, ICICI will give DOT Matrix printouts, but statements will be containing ICICI bank Logos. Is that enough (B/w Dot matrix statements).
3. Has anybody taken Maintenance fund letter form ICICI, ITPL, Bangalore? Do they consider our request for the Letter?
4. I am married ,but I'll apply dependant visa for my spouse after couple of months. Do I need to submit my Marriage certificate with my application now?
5. My university (BE) is there in the point calculator but my college name is not there. I have a degree from univ and a supporting letter from college stating College is affiliated to univ and the medium of Instruction is English. The letter is dated (March 2003). Can I submit that letter (dated 2003) and is the letter and Univ degree is sufficient?

I understand that all theses questions have been answered many times, but I again want to confirm the documents before applying.
I request all Bangalore applicants in March to share their views.

You can walk in anytime before 2:00 PM (on a safer side) and file in, my advice is dont go for any appointment. I just went in with all the papers!

Dont worry the Pound rate is falling ! 2.5lakhs is more than enough.

It's fine, they will only check how old is the statement, if it's very old more than 3 months then it's a problem
All document need to be bank attested, you can check with the bank.

Hello

Thanks for your quick replies.

I have some doubts for filling up the application form. Please clarify
1. I am in bangalore. Shall I fill my bangalore address in residential address or the address mentioned in passport (columnl 4.1)? I'lll be giving my bangalore address in (columnl 4.1). Same doubt regarding landline number also. Shall i give my permanent landline number or bangalore landline number?
2. other confusing column is column 5.2 (Name of spouse). I'll be applying for name change for my spouse. So, I think I should write her name (surname) as surname before marriage. Please correct, If I am wrong.
3. As obvious, I don't have UK national insurance number, shall I leave column 6.1 (UK INSURANCE NUMBER) blank or shall i put N/A.
4. I had travelled UK last year on business visit, but I am not able to find the reference number on my Visa. Please help, which number is reference number on Visa Page.

Any body, please answer to the 5th question in my previous post.Advance thanks for the replies.

I went to the Standard Chartered branch at M. G. Road. There are two forms you need to obtain from the security person, one yellow form and one white form. You need to carry your original passport with you as well. Fill out the forms, pay your fee in cash and hand over the passport. They will take a photocopy of the passport and ask you to sign the copy. Finally they will issue you the demand draft with a receipt. There is a cancellation charge if you decide to ask for a refund, by the way, but they do not charge you any commission to make the draft in the first place.

You can specify arrival up to three months after the date you submit your application, so if you were to apply on March 1, the last date you can specify for your arrival is June 1.

Thanks... I am also enclosing my business card along with the documents.
As suggested, I'll mention my company details in the Appendix-1, section 44.11

In Appendix -1, section, 4.8; Do we need to put earnings in Pounds after applying upliftment ratio (5.3)?

Hello vineet,
Do not rely on the status page of VFS it not updated regularly as with my case. Just keep cool and go about with your normal life you should get your visa soon.
