OCI Miscellaneous Services application not processed in 4 months

Hello folks,

Submitted an online application under OCI Miscellaneous Services for minor son as he received new UK passport. Application submitted on 29 June 2024 and then "acknowledged" on 05 July 2024.

Status is still "Your application has been acknowledged by competent authority. It is being processed and will be updated". We are almost at 4 months now.

File reference number is GBRL******** so this is a London, UK application.

Any suggestions on who I can chase to speed this up will be appreciated.

P.S. - why does search not work properly anymore in the website? Zero hits for me with "misc" or "miscellaneous"

So I sent an email to HCI London explaining that this record was pending processing for almost 4 months. They replied within 24 hours and completed the record update. Sharing for everyone else's benefit.

Once been "processed" how long it took to receive the OCI in post?
