Is there a link/topic for the people who have applied or planning to apply in the month of feb from India?If so can somebody please mention it.If not can we start here in this topic?

I applied at VFS Bangalore today. But they didnt accept the Oanda printouts

Hi krishna.sukasi,

Thanks for sharing this info. I think mostly everyone in this forum had submitted the Oanda print outs according to:

1) for maintenance funds, if period is from 1st oct 08 to 31st dec 08. Then the oanda printout as of 31st Dec 08.

2) for earnings if period is from 1st nov 07 to 31st oct 08. Then oanda printout as of 31st Oct 08.

Guys please advice of this is correct.

Also krishna.sukasi, what did the VFS guys say about the oanda printout. I mean why didnt they accept it.

Please advice, especially the senior folks.

They jus said..tht it is not needed. Any how I don think it would be a problem. because the assessing officer will have his own calculations

But any how i mentioned in the covering letter abt the date which i took from Oanda for calculation

Is there any way to check the ststus of the application other than checking in the vfs site?

U can SMS VISA UK PassportNo to 57333.

But I didnt check my status till now..In VFS site..i get as Invalid search.

Dialed the VFS No 080-40084008. They said..BHC Has not updated the status..and they usually send the documents to BHC the same day. and it takes min 14 working days for processing...may be more also. So i need to wait for next week to check my status if not updated today evening

My status has changed to Processed Application and delivered to Blue Dart on 18/02/09.I applied from VFS chennai.I think I will be receiving the Passport etc tomorrow.

Getting little tensed now as what the outcome will be.Fingers Crossed

Applied at VFS delhi on 12 Feb 2009 ..and passport stamped with Visa on 17th Feb 2009.

Chennai BHC is pretty fast.It will take around 2-3 weeks max.This is from my experience.

and the VFS online status says "the file forwarded to BHC ", chennai.
When should I again mail them?

I had applied on Feb 4th ,until feb 18th morning the status showed as App fwed to BHC.In the afternoon it changed to app processed.delivered to Blue dart.Hence we never know what exactly the line "Application fwded to BHC" means.It can be in case worker's table or waiting in queue.Hence be patient and confident.

Chennai BHC normally takes 2 - 3 weeks.You might probably see your status changed next week.Good luck.

Hi All,
Today the status on VFS changed. It says " Your passport is ready for collection . Pls visit your VFS centre for collection" Does this mean I have got the visa.
