Please can you post the current processing time from Chennai VFS for Tier 1 General Dependant visa.

In india in general Tier1 General timelines are much quicker when compared to those in UK..

As per the observation on this forum it seems to take around 2-3weeks time to get the result.. few also got visas in 2-5days period also...

Latest average times are 5-6 working days max.

Hi
I have applied for my dependents at New Delhi BHC on 10/07/2009 but still have not got any reply so far even after 9 working days. Though I got my approval on 07/07/2009.

All docs are as per specification and are originals.

Is there anything to worry about as I do not know why so much time is being taken.

Hi Shankar,

The time line is depends on the case worker.
I have applied for my wife and son dependent visa from Bangalore VFS , it took only 3 days to process.

Thatz true , timelines are 5-6 working days these days at chennai VFS .....

mine took just 7 days to get processed and delivered at my place .

Applied on 16th jul 09... and gt back passport on 25th jul 2009 at my home.

Amazing service.

Would request you all to update the times lines for dependant visa (August 09 - chennai VFS). I am planning to apply for my dependants visa next month 1st or 2nd week from Bangalore VFS and was wondering what are the current time lines.

Applied On: 26th April 2010
Forwarded to BHC: 27th April 2010

Forwarded to BHC: Till today (18th May 2010)

I applied at bangalore.
I have called so many times but nobody is picking up the call at chennai BHC and worse they are cutting the calls recently.
I do not know what is happening.
VFS is just saying it is under process but the website is not getting updated. Only God knows what is happening there!!!!

Hi guys,

current timelines are 4-5 weeks for almost every visa. my wife's dependant visa took 5 weeks from VHC Delhi.

so don't worry.

Yes, Received my passport with visa on 21st May
