My comment is this. It would be interesting to know where they got the detail, and indeed, is the detail correct?

Whilst an announcement is expected today, I have just checked on the UKBA and Home Office websites and nothing has been announced yet.

As I understand this is all about old news, stricter rules for Inter Company Transfers, nothing else ...been discussed before. They just repeatedly resurrect it to make the public impressed how hard they work to control immigration.
Good luck !

The changes are applicable to Tier-2 visas - your query is in the wrong forum :)

crowbar6,
Whether its a Tier1 or Tier2 not matters much (ofcourse i agree some changes gonna happen in Tier2) but news is concentrating on publishing jobs and restriction on foreign entries to UK and eligibility criteria for transfer to britain.

We can draw out some pros and cons on below scenarios.

1) People who are in UK and searching jobs.
2) People outside (with valid visa) and thinking to come UK and search for job
3) People who are thinking to apply for Tier1 or Tier2 visas.

After all, most of the crowd is travelling UK for jobs and this article/change in rules would effect some or other way.

Hope you understand where iam stressing.

Agreed. This is definitely a sign that migrants are not being welcomed with open arms any more. People should do some hard thinking before making a decision to come to UK given individual circumstances.

Shall we talk on above scenarios..?

Here EU citizens are equal to UK visa holders in finding the job(as it will be forced to advertise jobs solely through UK jobcentres for a month)..?

Any positive and negative discussions are welcome.

This has now appeared on the UKBA website :-

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... otect-jobs

Accordingly I shall now move this topic to the Tier 2 area, now we know for sure what they are talking about.

As I understand it the Government is implementing all 16 recommendations in this MAC document.

In particular the recommendations start at 8.10, which is on page 171 of 193.

Not all the recommendations make it tougher. For example no. 2 says "that a master’s degree be awarded 15 points in Tier 2, instead of the current 10 points".

Lots of detail in that 193-page document.
