"Subject to Immigration Control" and Pregnancy Ben

Post by Valerian » Mon Sep 07, 2009 9:08 pm

Hello,

Can I ask pregnancy benefits in the following situation?

Here we go,
I am french and my wife entered the UK with an EEA Family permit and we applied in Feb 09 for an EEA 2 (CoA March 09).
On the CoA is written"Until such time as your application has been decided by the UK Border Agency, you will be treated for immigration purposes as a family member of a legally resident EEA national and, as such, you are free to live and work in the UK"
Does that mean that she IS "Subject to Immigration Control" or NOT? ie can I ask for pregnancy benefit or not?

THis really urgent so I would really appreciate any quick feedback

Thank you
Valerian

Thanks for the answer - I'm pretty sure this is 190 pounds though - that s what is on the paper anyway.
